F1 Evo is Outside's Gear of Year
"When the product that every tester can’t stop talking about is a boot, you listen."
Backcountry Mag is one of the most important newspapers, reliable and well respected by the whole outdoor scene. The Outside award is particularly notable in that the F1 Evo is the first ski boot to ever win a Gear of the Year Award from the publication.
“Normally, we give the highest award in this category to a ski. But when the product that every tester can’t stop talking about is a boot, you listen. The real kicker: it weighs less and skis better - both up and down - than many other boots in its class. Bravo, SCARPA,” Outside’s editors wrote. Outside and Backcountry both heralded the fact that the hands-free Tronic ski/walk mechanism on the F1 Evo makes it the first boot to automatically switch from a locked cuff (ski mode) to cuff that pivots for touring (walk mode) based on whether or not the heel of the boot is locked into the binding.
A title that once again agree the skill and expertise SCARPA Company in creating products of absolute excellence.
