Born in the 1959 in Rovereto, Maurizio Giordani is a member of Club Alpino Accademico Italiano, the French Groupe de Haute Montagne and the Mountain Wilderness (guarantee) since the 1985.
In the year 1989 he became an Alpine Guide after a 10 years’ experience in the mountaineering and climbing, ascent in Himalayas, where he has done thousands of climbs beyond the 6 grade, new routes, dozens in winter in solo, always challenging route.
An enthusiastic traveler, he boasts of more than 60 expeditions around the world, rose above 8000 mt on Broad Peak and Gasherbrum II but has also researched and climbed many other mountains in difficult rock and ice, from the peaks of Patagonia, Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, Cerro Pier Giorgio, etc., Mount Kenya, lAconcagua, the Muztagh Ata, the Spantik, the Trango Towers, Uli Biaho, Ogre, Kedarnath Peak, Baruntse II, Ama Dablam, Mount Cook, Mt Ararat, Damavand, Huascaran, etc., by the Karakoram mountain range in the Andes , from America to the Africa , Allasia .
He has published three books about the Marmolada: one about the history of the mountaneering “Sogno di Pietra” and two guides mountaineering routes on the South wall, for Mediterranee and Versante Sud.
Sometimes Maurizio organizes lecturing about climbing, always attentive to the problems of the mountain.
