Adriano Alimonta

Descendant of a well-known family of Alpine Guides, Adriano was born in the beautiful village Madonna di Campiglio, nestled in the Brenta Dolomites where he still lives.
Ever since a child, he has been intensively participating in every mountain activity:  in winter downhill racing and ski-touring (in 1991 he won the Italian ski-touring national Championships) , while the summer sees him climbing the local surrounding summits and peaks.
Adriano has been a ski instructor since 1988 and an Alpine Guide since 1996.
He is a freelance professional, acting as consultant for the management and security on ski slopes; he is furthermore Technical Director of the 3-Tre Ski World Cup Organizing committee and Race Director of the famous slalom race.
Adriano is also an expert in snow condition analyses and has obtained various certifications regarding security and causes of avalanches.
A member of the Alpine Rescue Organization since July 1985, he is currently director of the “Adamello Brenta” Unit which patrols the whole western side of Trentino and is a Technician of the Helicopter Rescue Units of Trento and Aiut Alpin Dolomites.
The great passion for rescue activities and techniques brings Adriano to qualify as a Technical Instructor and thanks to his great and well-known experiences and skills he is appointed President of the Alpine Rescue Association of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
With expert knowledge of his home mountains, the “Brenta Dolomites”, the “Adamello”, “Presanella”, “Ortles” and “Cevedale”, Adriano loves to follow new and original itineraries which reveal hidden beauties and suggestive sceneries while reaching sites and peaks as in times past.
