... free, creative and limitless freeriding on everything the mountains have to offer!
Even though it took a considerably long time from being a relatively unknown, rather underground skier to being recognized by the public, skiing had always been a dominating part of my life.
Being on my skis had always been synonymous to freedom to me, but during my youth racing was the only way for a young skier to pursue the sport regularly and intensely. After many years of ski racing, at a time when most of my friends had already switched to snowboarding, I started shifting my interest to a new emerging, free aspect of skiing which they called freeskiing.
Disinclined to compete again, I entered my first competition in 2009, when at last minute I replaced an injured friend at the Fieberbrunn stop of the tour. First competition and first victory, it was through following appearances on the Freeride World Tour and on events like the Red Bull Linecatcher and the Swatch Skiers’ Cup that I got to the point that I could pursue skiing professionally.
Now it`s time to advance and slowly move away from the competitive aspect of the sport to what had been my original motivation when I quit ski racing: free, creative and limitless freeriding on everything the mountains have to offer!
